Chachoensao-Interesting place and Festival

Chachoengsao is approx. 80 km. from Bangkok. The place is famous of Bangpakong River, Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan. The place have 11 Amphur- Mueang, Bang Khla, Bang Nam Prieo, Bang Pakong, Ban Pho, Phanom Sarakham, Sanam Chai Khet, Plaeng Yao, Ratchasan, Tha Takiap, and King Amphoe Khlong Khuean. Luang Pho Sothon Celebrating Festival is held three time a year.

1. Around April to celebrate the occasion of lifting Luang Pho Sothorn from the river. Open theatres are provided all through these three days and three nights.
2. Around November to commemorate the occasion of subsiding of smallpox in 1890. It was believed that due to the help of Luang Pho Sothon. Performed on the eve is the chanting of sermons whereby magical power is instilled in Luang Pho votive tablets. A procession of Luang Pho Sothon reproduction is held both on land and the water. Red Cross Festival is held at the same time at Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park.
3.Around February (Chinese New Year Festival). This lasts 5 days 5 nights. A large crowd of people from every direction come to the temple to pay respect to Luang Pho.

Erawan National Park-Great Sightseeing

Erawan National Park 65 Kilometres from Kanchanaburi along route 3199, this 550 square kilo metre national park is the site of the seven-tiered Erawan Waterfall, which is widely regarded as being one of Thailand's ties (the hightest being number seven) contains a pool ideal for swimming and is particularly picturesque. The park mixed deciduous forests and waterway support a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and freshwater fauna.

The park is a popular weekend and public holiday destination, but is considerably less crowded during weekdays. Bungalow accommodation and camping facilities, and a daytime food market, are available.

Transportation within the provincial capital is most enjoyable on tricycles. Tricycles can be hired at reasonable rate, enabling visitors to see the Bridge over the River Kwae, the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the waterfront Song Kwae Road area, and the JEATH War Museum in one circuit

Do you know about Thai Boxing?

Today I would like to introduce another place about Thai Boxing. Thai Boxing or Muay Thai is both a sport and means of self defence. Contstants are allowed to use almost any part of their body : feet, elbows, legs, knees, and shoulders, are all weapons. The playing of traditional music during bouts makes for even greater excitement.

Ratchadamnoen Stadium is located on Ratchadamnoen Nok Road,this place is famous for Thai Boxing.

Let go to the place for Childrens (In Bangkok)

You will see many big building in Bangkok but today I will introduce the place for Children. Normally, everybody when you're were young love to go to the zoo and animal farm. We will start to these places now.

Dusit zoo, the place is located beside the Royal Plaza, Bangkok's oldest zoo contains a collections of popular African and Asiam mammals and birds in an ornamental garden. This place will crowd with may children in every weekend or a holiday.

Another one is Safari World, Bangkok's greatest open zoo and leisure park is located in Min Buri, around Km. 9 of Ramintra Road. The 300-acre complex comprses a Safari Park populated by African and Asian mammals, a Marine Park with amusing performances of weel-trained dolphins and seals, a Bird Park and a Games Corner.

You can take your childrens to these place.

Public Park (For relax) in Bangkok

First at all, I will recommend Chatuchak Park. This park is located at the junction of Phahonyothin and Vibhavadi Rangsit Roads. There are nine pieces of ASEAN sculptures that enhance the character of the park.

The Second one is Lumpini Park, this was a huge open space once belonging to King Rama VI, who issued a royal command to turn the area iinto a public park as a gift to Bangkok residens. The park is located on Rama IV Road, between Rachadamri and Witthayu (Wireless) roads, with entranced gates on all sides.

The Third one is Queen Sirikit Park, this was built to commemorate the 60th birthday anniversary of HM Queen Sirikit. A big pool in the park contains three fountains and a fine collection of both Thai and Foreign lotuses.

Last one, Suan Luang Rama IX, the 200-acre botanical garden-cum-public park is located deep inside Sukhumvit soi 103 (Udomsuk) and was opened in 1987 to commemorate the 60th birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Famous Temple in Bangkok (Con't)

Wat Ratchanatdaram-the temple is located on Mahachai Road, and was built in the reign of King Rama II in 1846. Loha Prasat, the temples main attraction, standing 36 metres high with 37 surrounding spires, is the only one its kind left in the world. Next to the temple is the area for welcoming and important foreign guest and a memorial statue of King Rama III.

You can visit this temple from 8.00 a.m.-5.00 p.m. bangkok time.

Famous Temple in Bangkok

An ancient city have a lot of places. Temple is an important one for Thai Citizen to respect. We normally call temple as "Wat" (The meaning in Thai language is temple).
The famous temple in Bangkok are as following;

Wat Aroon, is best known for a porcelain encrusted 79 metre central pagoda which sparkles in the sun. The famous Chao Phraya riverbank landmark diagonally opporsite the Grand Palace.

Wat Benchamabophit located on Si Ayutthaya road, this unique marble emple was constructed during the reign of King Rama V. It employs European ecclesiastic details, such as stained glass windows, and contains a superb cloister collection of bronze Buddha images.

Wat Pho, is famous for school of Thai massage. This large and extensive temple neighbours the Grand Palance enclave on Thai Wang Road and contains a gigantic gold plated Reclining Buddha some 46 metres long and 15 metre high with inlaid mother of pearl soles. The temple is also regarded as the centre of public education and is sometimes called Thailand's first university.

Jatajak or JJ Market is wellknow for weekend market located adjacent to Chatuchak park, the market is open on Saturday and Sunday. It's is Bangkok landmark where you can buy just about everything from clothing to potted plants and everything between a paradise fro browsers and bargain-hunters alike. The market also offers items of furnture and home decor. It is also where professional and amateur art-lovers and artists meet.

Krung Thep Maha Nakhon

Banglok is one of Asia's most cosmopolitan cities. Created as the Thai capital in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty. Bangkok is a national treasure house and Thailands spiritual, cutural, political, commercial, education and diplomatic centre. Bangkok exceeds 1,500 square kilometres in area and is home to one-tenth of the country's population.

Major tourist attractions include glittering Buddist temples, palace, timeless "Venice of the East" canal and river scenes, classical dance extravaganzas, and numerous shopping centres.
